We are now 99% certain that the Nelson Car Show will be granted Resource Consent to run burnouts this weekend!

First prize will be $500 cash thanks to Wayne Sturgeon's Amusements!

In order to cause minimal disruption to those around us there will of course be some conditions to this Resource Consent defining how long we can run for, and what measures we need to take to minimise the affect on other parties and the environment. This allows us to run a bigger and better event than in the past!

We will be holding a public entry competition on Saturday 12th, between 12pm and 3pm. Entry is open to all drivers and vehicles that meet the minimum safety requirements. If you wish to enter please bring your vehicle along with a copy of the entry form (copies will be available on site too) by 11am. Three hours should be more than enough time for everyone to have a go but please note that our time frames are strict and entry will be on a first come first served basis.

On Sunday 13th we will be concentrating more on the show aspect of the event, however it is likely that we will run a short demonstration in the early afternoon, with entry by invitation only.
